How does Mira work?
Mira is your AI matchmaker. During setup she asks you at most seven short questions, for example about your perfect date, your weekend and what you are looking for. You answer with the suggested replies or in your own words. From this Mira creates your Vibe profile: one of twelve dating archetypes, eight trait scores, your values, dealbreakers and love language. She also suggests a bio and three prompt answers that you can accept or edit. Mira is an AI (AI models by OpenAI), not a person.
When does the Drop arrive?
Every day at 19:00 your local time, Mira introduces you to up to three hand-picked people, each with a compatibility score and a few sentences on why you two might click. Before that you see a countdown. If you allowed notifications, we let you know as soon as your Drop is ready. We do not suggest the same person in your Drop again for at least 14 days.
Why is there no Drop today?
Then Mira did not find anyone today who fits you and whose settings you fit as well. The app then shows "Mira is still scouting your city". For the Drop, Mira widens the search radius automatically. Especially early on, it helps to widen your age range or maximum distance a little and to invite friends, for example by sharing your archetype card. A paused profile gets no new suggestions. You can also swipe yourself in Discover at any time.
What is the 24h spark?
A new match expires after 24 hours if nobody has written by then. The ring around the photo shows how much time is left, and we remind you two hours before it expires. Once the first message is sent, the match stays.
What is "I make the first move"?
Women can turn on this setting. In their matches with men, only she can then send the first message. After that you chat as usual. The 24h spark applies here too.
What is Vibe Check?
A short game in every match: five this-or-that questions. Once you have both answered, the result appears as a card in the chat, for example "You agree on 4/5". You can share the result as an image; it shows only your first names.
How is compatibility calculated?
The score comes from fixed rules, not from the AI's gut feeling. It considers the trait scores from your Vibe profiles (similarity counts for stability, romance, ambition and social energy; for spontaneity and humor you may also complement each other), shared interests, what you are both looking for, your values and dealbreakers. People who were active recently are shown a little higher. We only suggest people who match on gender, age and distance in both directions. The score is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Can I retake the interview with Mira?
You will find your Vibe profile, bio and prompts in the app under You. You can change your bio and prompts there at any time. If you want to redo the conversation with Mira and cannot find the option, write to us.
How do I pause my profile?
In the app under You. While your profile is paused, we do not suggest you to anyone new. Your existing matches and chats stay.
Why was my photo rejected?
Every photo is checked automatically before it is stored. We reject photos that show no person, that show nudity or sexual content, or that show minors, including your own children. JPEG, PNG, HEIC and WebP up to 15 MB are allowed, up to six photos in total. The check can be wrong. If you think the rejection was a mistake, write to us and a human will look at it.
My message was blocked.
Messages are checked for harassment, threats, unwanted sexual content and scams before they are delivered. Rephrase your message. If you think the check got it wrong, write to us.
My sign-in code does not arrive.
Check your spam folder for an email from hello@matchmade.codext.de and make sure you typed your address correctly. The code is valid for 10 minutes and can be entered five times. After that, simply request a new one. If you originally signed up with Apple, use Sign in with Apple again.
How to report someone
Tap the menu on the profile or in the chat and choose Report. Pick a reason (for example fake profile, inappropriate, harassment, underage or scam) and, if you like, briefly describe what happened. The report also blocks the person and ends your match. The person is not told who reported them.
We review every report within 24 hours, reports about minors immediately. You can also write to kontakt@codext.de with the person's first name and city, screenshots and a short description. This also works without an account.
Is someone in immediate danger? Call emergency services right away: 112 in Europe, otherwise your local emergency number. Then also report the person in the app.
Blocking and unmatching
You can block someone from the menu on their profile or in the chat. You and the blocked person no longer see each other and can no longer message each other. Unmatch ends a match; the chat then disappears for both of you. You will find your list of blocked people in the app under You, where you can also unblock someone.
Delete your account
In the app under You → Settings → Delete account. After you confirm, we immediately delete your account with your profile, photos, Vibe profile, matches and messages. Without the app, you can do it by email. All options and what gets deleted are on the Delete account page.
Meeting safely
- Get to know the person in the chat first, and keep the conversation in Matchmade.
- Meet in a busy, public place the first time.
- Tell someone you trust who you are meeting, when and where.
- Arrange your own transport and keep an eye on your drink.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto, and do not share bank or card details. Please report anyone who asks you for them.
- Trust your gut. You can end a date at any time.
